A knowledge organiser sets out in detail what we want children to know by heart by the end of a topic. We expect the majority of children to be able to recall all of the information on the knowledge organiser by the end of each topic taught. During lessons, children will take part in regular quizzes, which will help stretch their long-term memory and develop their recall of key information.

This year we will be producing knowledge organisers which are the documents outlining the essential knowledge that the teachers will be covering across a unit of work; including key vocabulary, key p;aces, dates and people, useful diagrams and other information

These knowledge organisers will be shared with pupils, parent and carers before units of work are taught- with the aim that everyone knows exactly what is being taught and what the children need to learn

Knowledge organisers will be sent home and uploaded into this section of our school website at the start of each new topic and can be accessed to help support your child with any additional learning. We ask that parents read through these knowledge organisers at home with their children. It will also be useful for children to go back to the previous knowledge organisers and revise these so that the information from previous learning has not been forgotten. In this pack you will find the knowledge organisers for this half term.
