St Aidan's Pupils Shine at Cidari Earth Conference ????????
Seven Year 4 pupils from St Aidan's brilliantly represented the school at the Cidari Earth Conference on Thursday 16th October, held at Blackburn Cathedral. They engaged in thought-provoking activities centered on significant global challenges, including plastic pollution, war and conflict, and global warming. The children collaborated in mixed groups, successfully forming new friendships with pupils from other Trust schools.
The day began with an opening worship led by Rev Ben, focusing on our responsibility to care for God's creation. Following the activities, the children took time to admire the striking "Gaia" Earth installation. They also listened to Bible stories like David & Goliath and Jesus Calms the Storm, drawing on themes of faith and courage to tackle seemingly insurmountable challenges.
Each group designed a prayer station, which will be exhibited in The Temple Gallery in the Cathedral over half-term. We encourage all families to visit the Cathedral to view the Gaia installation, photographs, and the pupils' prayer stations.
