Our first Pen Party!
Yesterday we were learning that the Stone Age lasted for approximately 3.4 billion years! We went outside with our base 10 to help us understand how long ago this actually was. The children were amazed! They had a great time exploring the concept of time.
We had a visit from 2 Dental Practitioners today. We spoke about keeping our teeth clean and healthy and had our first tooth brushing session. We will be brushing our teeth daily now.
Look at our tall tower!
Our topic this term in Science is Living Things and Their Habitats. Yesterday we went to investigate what microhabitats we could find on our school grounds. The children loved exploring using their magnifying glass.
We loved our first visit to Mill Hill Library today. They will all bring home a registration form tomorrow. Please fill it in and then we can get them all their own Library card.
Having fun decorating our outdoor area.
What a busy Monday we have had.
Ask your child what sound we learnt in phonics today!
Back to School Worship at church
Last week in English we used our 5 senses to describe winter. On Friday we wrote a winter poem. Today we worked in groups and used our excellent oracy skills to perform them to the class. What amazing poets you are Year 2!
We had a lovely afternoon yesterday looking at our special books. The teachers brought some of their books in too. We talked about why these books are special to us. Here are a few of the pictures we took.
