We had lots of fun on our autumn walk!

What a lovely afternoon for Year 1's Autumn walk! We're exploring the seasons, and had fun looking at the changing leaves, listening to the crunch, and finding mushrooms and Stickman. Great to explore the weather!

In science, we are using classification keys to sort plants.

Year 1 have been busy learning about materials in Science. They went on an object hunt, sorting items by their properties and discussing what they were made of. Odea even wowed everyone by showing she could bend her body. Well done, super scientists!

CHOCOLATE ROCKS!!! Year 3 have spent their science lesson this week creating different types of rocks (Sedimentary, igneous and metamorphic) but made of chocolate. It was a very good afternoon and the rocks tasted fantastic.

This week in Science Year 3 have started to look at Rocks. we have looked at the different categories of rocks, Sedimentary, Igneous and Metamorphic.

Today in Science, Year 3 were investigating 'Do people with the longest legs jump the furthest?' Ask your child what they discovered as you may be surprised!

This week in Science, we continued our plant studies by exploring trees. We went on a local walk to examine different parts of trees, measured their trunks, and even made some bark rubbings. It was a great time, and we learned that every tree is unique!

A wetter week at Forest School didn't stop the fun! We've been busy learning how to identify some of our local native trees. They did a great job noticing different leaf shapes and bark textures.

Our first Forest School session was a huge success! We loved exploring our surroundings and discovering all sorts of fascinating insects.
