We are experimenting in art today with clay to make 3d shapes.
Billy was awarded a certificate today by Jake as he demonstrated extra effort in cricket.
Our Ed start PE award this week for her efforts is Zainab.
In RE, we have been learning about prayers. Reception learnt that Jonah did not do the right thing so God sent a whale to help him do the right thing. Jonah prayed and said sorry to God. The children recreated the story of Jonah and the whale 🐳
Our butterflies have hatched! We have 8 beautiful butterflies 🦋 they are very hungry so we fed them oranges and nectar to make them strong. Tomorrow we are going to set them free!
🍯 Something Sweet: A Productive Day in Reception
We have officially turned the final page of our class novel, The Wizards of Once by Cressida Cowell. From Xar’s wild schemes to Wish’s bravery, the children have been absolutely gripped by the world of Badness and Iron.
Today in year 3 we are learning to tell the time to the nearest minute.
In Science today, we explored the parts of a plant! We took time looking closely at the roots and discussing their role. We then looked at the stem, leaves, and petals. 🌸🪴
In Art, we have been using water colours to create a flower meadow. We started by painting our background and then adding our stems and flowers!🌷🌻 They look amazing!
