During Harvest worship we were all invited to create a piece of work which reflected what would give thanks to God for. We had a range of different things, from plants, planets, trees, wildlife, men, women and life in all its forms.
It was wonderful to host the first of many Sunday worships in school today. It was great to see members of the school, the church and the wider community in school to celebrate and reflect on the way God is present during the harvest period.
Year 2 Readers of the Week!
In science, we are using classification keys to sort plants.
In RE, we finished our display, and what a display it is, well done I am really impressed. Look at the work they have done!
In PE, we have moved to full games on our jag tag lessons.
In Art, we explored our outdoor environment to find inspiration for our pictures. We collected natural materials and made collages.
In P.E, we have been learning about tackling in Jag Tag! Esme was EdStart’s star of the week!
Number line superstars! This week we have been placing 10’s and 1’s on the number line to 100. We then began estimating where we think the number should go. The children could find the midpoint and did an excellent job.
We have some busy bees and learning superheroes in class today.
A wonderful afternoon spent enjoying hot chocolates topped with marshmallows, orange juice, sweeties and biscuits. Today we celebrated our VIPs showing our school values and showing their potential to grow with God.
We are working on writing our names in Reception. Please can you all work on this at home too. Thank you.
