Oracy Update! 🗣️ Pupils took on the Chairperson role in talk groups this week—managing discussions, encouraging peers, and summarising key points. Ask your child how a Chairperson helps ensure everyone gets a voice!

This week in PE, we explored how equipment affects strategy. Playing handball and football with different balls, pupils adapted their movement and passing for bounce, weight, and size—reflecting brilliantly on how to adjust their gameplay! ⚽

PE this week: We have been practising our skills together and putting this into practice in small team games. Well done to everyone ~ great sportsmanship and sportswomanship shown by all.

Keeping our teeth clean and healthy in our first teeth brushing session!

Charcoal rocks🫵🏻 today in art we are shading and exploring what we can and can not do with charcoal ☑️

This week we have started our supervised toothbrushing!🪥 The children have done a fantastic job and brushed for the whole 2 minutes, we will now be doing this everyday. Well done Year 1, you are experts!🦷

Our science experiment this afternoon was so much fun! We were investigating what happens when sounds are made and how sound travels through different mediums to our ears 👂🎶

Number lines but practical! We made human number lines to help us understand that they can have a different number of intervals and therefore count up in different amounts.

In Maths, we have been working hard on partitioning numbers to 100 flexibly. More on this next week so look out for how you can help at home.
