We have officially turned the final page of our class novel, The Wizards of Once by Cressida Cowell. From Xar’s wild schemes to Wish’s bravery, the children have been absolutely gripped by the world of Badness and Iron.

Today in year 3 we are learning to tell the time to the nearest minute.

In Science today, we explored the parts of a plant! We took time looking closely at the roots and discussing their role. We then looked at the stem, leaves, and petals. 🌸🪴

In Art, we have been using water colours to create a flower meadow. We started by painting our background and then adding our stems and flowers!🌷🌻 They look amazing!

Well done Merab our star of the week! Fantastic following instruction, listening and joining in.

Morning Dance Warm Up!

Today in year 3 we are learning time in increments of 5 minutes.

Today we are learning the 24 hour, 12 hour and Roman numerals in time. See what your children already know.

We are pleased to say that this weeks reader of the week in year 3 is Amelia. Amelia has shown determination in reading to boost her amount of reads at home. Well done!

All About Seeds! This week in Science, we explored the wonderful world of plants. We examined various seeds, noting their different shapes and sizes. The children were amazed to learn how even the tiniest seed can eventually grow into a huge plant!

In RE we have been learning about special places. We learnt all about mosques! Reception learnt that Muslims pray 5 times a day, they take their shoes off in mosque as a sign of respect, they use prayer mats and understood the features of a mosque!

In PSHE we have been learning about healthy eating! We made the monkey a picnic filled with a balanced packed lunch.
