This weeks VIPs. Showing our school values around school this week. This week these children had shown; love, acceptance and accountability in their own learning. Well done to you all.

A brilliant week of outdoor learning! From mastering hammers for shape art to hunting for minibeasts in the logs, it’s been wonderful to see the children so engaged with nature and new tools.

This morning, we researched Electric Vehicles, investigating the best materials and assembly methods for our chassis. Our budding carpenters also put their skills to the test, learning how to use a hacksaw with precision.

Hoops and Teamwork! A busy PE session today polishing our basketball skills. From dribbling to passing, the class is showing fantastic spirit and control. They’re absolutely smashing it!

We kicked off Design Technology Week today with some hands-on engineering! Our young inventors began exploring the mechanics of motion by working in teams to power up Lego vehicles using batteries and motors.

Yesterday afternoon, we kicked off our 6-week Bounce Forward programme with Lyndsey from Lancashire Mind. She’ll be visiting every Monday to boost the children’s resilience and wellbeing, and we can't wait to see the positive impact on the class.

In Art we understood how we can use different parts of our body to create artwork! We focused on using our finger prints using different colours for the theme of Valentine’s Day to make cards for loved ones.

Congratulations to all of Reception, our Stars of the Week! Alongside hard work in phonics assessments, we’ve seen a brilliant boost in oracy across all subjects—especially Maths.
